Getting there

Dickwella Resort is situated 210 km from the international airport,  in the south.  Bandaranaike airport is the only

international airport in Sri Lanka at present and is situated about 30 km north of Colombo. Travel time between

the airport and Colombo is about 1 hour.  Most international flights arrive late evening or early morning and

guests have an option of taking a vehicle or Air Taxi direct to Dickwella Resort or stay overnight in Colombo.

The advantage of transferring by vehicle late evening or early morning is that the roads are quieter and the

drive will take about 3 to 4 hours.  


The best way to arrive at Dickwella Resort…

is to take a flight (seaplane) straight from the international

airport to Dickwell (45 min. )


During the day Sri Lankan Airlines Air Taxi offers a direct flight by the Turbo Single Otter which takes up to

eight passengers, ( Mail Address , Web site ) Air Taxi offers a regular scheduled service,

daylight flights only, from Bandaranaike Airport to Mawella Lagoon and Koggalla Airport.

From the arrival at Mawella Lagoon it is a 10 min. drive and from Koggalla Airport it is a 70 min.
